February 23th – Shelley Rumsey

Shelly Rumsey is the Program Coordinator for EPIC Montana, an Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic. EPIC Montana is an innovative treatment program for adolescents and young adults (16-25) who have recently had unusual thoughts and behaviors or who have started hearing or seeing things that others don’t. These may be early signs of psychosis, a treatable mental health condition.

A collaboration between the Mental Health Center and the Billings Clinic, EPIC is a comprehensive team approach that provides intensive outpatient services to referred individuals and their families. EPIC is modeled after other first episode psychosis programs such as STEP, RAISE, and NAVIGATE. The first of its kind in Montana, EPIC strives to provide an accelerated process and increase access to specialty care. Shelly has 13 years of experience and work in the mental health field. She has been part of the EPIC team since the program launched in late 2016.
