The State of Montana’s Suicide Prevention Grant RFP Has Been Published!

By October 16, 2017November 24th, 2020No Comments
The State of Montana has posted the Request for Proposal for the Suicide Prevention Grants.  This was a statutory appropriation so it was not subject to the state budget cuts. Therefore, the full $1 million is available for suicide prevention projects across Montana.

The RFP is posted at the Montana Acquisition and Contracting System websiteGo to that website and run a search for “Suicide.” The grant  is the only one that comes up. The title should be “Suicide Prevention.”  You have to sign in to the system in order to view and submit an application.  However, you can see a copy of the PDF of the RFP at this link.

The grant process will close on November 13th, 2017 at 2:00 PM (MST).

The passage of this grant funding was one of the critical successes of the last Legislative Session. We would like to again thank Representative Jonathan Windy Boy, Governor Steve Bullock, the Republican Legislative leadership, Representative Jessica Karjala, and Representative Mary Ann Dunwell for its passage. NAMI Montana was deeply involved in advocating for this effort. We will not be submitting a grant application in order to ensure that no one misunderstands our intentions for advocating for this funding.

We challenge our community partners to step up the challenge of bringing effective evidence-based suicide prevention care to your communities.  Good luck!
