Governor Greg Gianforte and the Montana Legislature launched the 872 Commission during the last legislature to make major investments in the state's behavioral health and developmental disabilities care system.

After almost a year of work, the Commission is getting close to releasing their draft recommendations.  It is likely those recommendations will be mostly based on a series of recommendations discussed by consultants and DPHHS at the last 872 Commission meeting. You can find the full reports and powerpoint presentations at the April 22-23rd meeting tab at this link. https://dphhs.mt.gov/FutureGenerations/CommissionMaterials

It's a lot of material, so we put together a sixteen-slide video to help describe the recommendations proposed at the April 22-2rd meeting. It's available at this link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FgmJFW7PF4

Please consider taking a moment to give the 872 your insights on what you think they should invest in. You can reach them through this link.  https://dphhs.mt.gov/FutureGenerations/Commission

We are really grateful to the Governor, the Legislature, and the Commission for their work. Hopefully, they are able to transition these recommendations into some really positive changes for Montana's care systems, the people who rely upon them, and the people who work in them.

Thank you,

Matt Kuntz
