Colleen Rahn
A Helena, MT resident with 30 years of experience in the mental health field, Colleen Rahn has dedicated the past 10 years to serving as the Education Director for NAMI Montana. In this role, she works to promote mental health awareness, education, and support throughout the state.
Colleen leads statewide initiatives that provide essential resources and programs to individuals, families, and communities affected by mental illness. Through education and advocacy, she empowers individuals to navigate challenges, access critical support services, and build resilience. Additionally, she collaborates with policymakers and stakeholders to advocate for mental health policies that drive meaningful change and help reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
For the past six years, she has served as an instructor for the Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) program, an evidence-based suicide prevention initiative through the Research and Recovery Program at Montana State University, helping to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world mental health support. Colleen’s commitment to improving mental health services and awareness continues to shape her work everyday, ensuring that individuals and families have the resources they need to thrive.
